After some back and forth about a refund, I stayed because I couldn’t find another place at such short notice. A few hours later, I saw staff moving some guests to the room I’d originally been checked into. The receptionist told me the room the guests had would be mine. The whole place felt so disorganized, definitely the worst booking experience I’ve had. Things happen, but they didn’t handle it properly. I’d driven for hours after receiving a message that my room would be ready at 11 am. When I opened the door after checking in, someone was already in the room. That should have been a major red flag. I raised my concerns and asked to cancel. The receptionist said I could get a full refund through PayPal, which I don’t have, then changed her mind and said she could only offer a partial refund.

The listings didn’t mention that this place was a complete building site. Stay here if you want to be woken at 6.30am by incredibly loud construction work.

The service was amazing, and the location was good. The room was cute, though its bathroom was old.

The lack of hot showers was disappointing, especially for anyone staying longer. I know they aren’t guaranteed in warmer countries, but guests should be told in advance so they can plan. Nighttime traffic was also a real problem for us as light sleepers, with vehicles constantly passing and making it hard to rest. On the plus side, it was quite a bit cheaper than other places around, and close enough to town for easy access to amenities and attractions. We wouldn’t choose it again. People who don’t mind the noise or cold showers might find it well situated and well equipped.
