Hotel Boutique Valverde Santa Elena

I was here on business and was impressed by the customer service. It’s a small boutique hotel with complimentary breakfast, made to order and fresh. The location is really central, so you can walk or catch an Uber and get around quickly. I definitely recommend the property and will be back.

When we got to the hotel, a young woman opened the door, let us in, and told us to sit while someone got our keys. Then they took us to a house, which we hadn’t been told about. There were around six kids staying there, running through the house and keeping us from sleeping. The room in the house hadn’t been cleaned. The showers were dirty and the beds were uncomfortable. I don’t recommend staying here overnight at all.

The included breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean. Several restaurants are within walking distance. The mattresses looked a little old, but I was surprised by how comfortable they were to sleep on.

They refused to help when I needed to extend my reservation. The woman I spoke with said she was the owner, and she was arrogant and unkind instead of trying to work something out. I learned the hard way and would choose Hotel Kal Nawi next time. Travelers from other countries should be prepared for possibly unfriendly, unhelpful treatment. Hermanos lejanos, don't go there. They raise the price when they know you're coming from Estafos unidos, and they don't help their own people when they're in need. I paid for two nights and they took my money.
