Hotel Villa

I was asked to pay $40 for a family member who visited for a few hours during the day. Staff said that fee was in the contract, but when I asked to see it, nobody could find one. It felt like a scam. I also had to ask for a towel, and there weren't any available in the room. They told me to wait until the next day to discuss it with management. My stay at Hotel Villa Antigua was incredibly disappointing. Never staying here again.

The food was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful from the start. Very good customer service.

The map's live view doesn't show the place very well, but you can usually park on the roadside in front of the entrance. If that's full, there's a small parking area in front of the business on 87 Avenida Norte. We stayed two nights, three of us for $147 total. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there's a cute pool to cool off in when it gets hot, plus A.C. in the rooms.

The breakfast was good, but the drinks cost too much. The pool has a nice water feature, though the water is cold. During our five-night stay, construction outside the room made it very loud. On the first night, ants had infested one bed, and roaches were crawling on my toothbrush in the washroom. I know this is Latin America, but I expected a Google four-star hotel to have some pest control. They moved us for the remaining four nights, and the new room had fewer pests, but mornings were still noisy. You could hear staff talking, playing music, and doing dishes. The room deodorizer smelled like baby powder, which I found gross, and we couldn't turn it off ourselves, though staff could. My Pandora ring also mysteriously went missing while we were there. It means a lot to me, and if anyone at the hotel recovered it, I'd pay to have it shipped back. I'd appreciate someone taking responsibility for what happened to my jewelry.
