Hotel Villa Florencia Centro

Alex at the front desk was a big help. He explained how to get to Suchitoto and shared useful information and suggestions for what to see in the country. I really appreciated how kind and welcoming he was. Give him a raise! The location was great, about a fifteen-minute walk from the city center, with plenty of vendors nearby. I wouldn't wander around there at night, though, and would take an Uber. I was glad to find a room closer to the centro histórico than my previous place, for $25 a night. That was the most basic room: one bed, a TV I couldn't turn on, no AC, and only a ceiling fan that seemed to make the room hotter. The showers also have no hot water.

It's a local, charming spot with good pupusa places and plenty of street food nearby, and the price is very reasonable. The hotel worked well for our quick four-day trip, with comfortable beds, air conditioning, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Ubers were easy to get, too. It can be noisy, and there isn't hot water, which wasn't pleasant but was manageable for a short visit. The area is a little out of the way and feels local rather than sophisticated or upscale, so it may not suit you if that's what you're after. If funky and charming is more your style, it's a great option.

I enjoyed my five nights here. The rooms were very clean, the hotel was cozy, and the historic center was within walking distance. There's a 24/7 front desk and garage parking, too. The $30 taxi ride to the airport was good value.

We just walked in without a reservation and got a good deal. Our private room had its own bathroom, was clean, and had enough space. The staff were really friendly and refilled our water bottles several times. We could also leave our luggage there securely the next day. It's a rustic place, with plenty of room to relax outside your room. The historic center is maybe a 15-minute walk, and we felt very safe. Thank you :)
