The patio at Villa Madero is cozy and peaceful, and the whole stay felt personal and welcoming. The staff were wonderful, especially the woman at the front desk who greeted me. Her welcome and goodbye were among the warmest I’ve had at a hotel. I’d stay here a thousand times over and highly recommend it as a comfortable, charming place.

The hotel itself was very clean and fashionable, and the breakfast was good too. It’s in a safe, peaceful part of San Salvador, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Wanna stay again!!

For nearly fifty USD, I expected more. This is a single family house split into small rooms for guests, so the restroom is shared. Breakfast was very basic: tasteless coffee, a few pieces of papaya, and a little egg. I asked the owner if I could leave my luggage while sightseeing, but he refused, saying the house had very little square footage.

HORRIBLE 😣 The room I was offered was so bad that I left as soon as I saw it. It was extremely dark, tiny, dirty, and had a really unpleasant smell. It wasn’t suitable for 2 persons at all, and looked nothing like the photos online. I don’t understand where the good reviews are coming from. They shouldn’t advertise it with pictures that don’t match the place. ❌ 🚫🚫

Boutique hotel? More like a horror house. The room was dirty, the walls were covered in mold, and construction materials were scattered around the entire property, even in reception. There was no wifi, and the receptionist was obnoxious. Check my pictures and run away!
