A large shopping center is just minutes away, central San Salvador isn’t far, and there are plenty of restaurants around. The hotel itself was quiet, with huge, extremely clean rooms and a tasty breakfast. The staff were professional and helpful, and the price was excellent, actually so cheap for the quality that they should charge more.

I was there for a friend’s birthday and hadn’t chosen the stay myself. The room was adequate, the AC worked fine, and the place was clean and pet friendly, though staying there was interestingly expensive. The pillows were flat, and the shower had no water and didn’t work at all. You could hear everything in the hallway and lobby through the concrete walls, which had no insulation. I wouldn’t choose this place again.

The service on the first day was okay, though not great. What ruined the stay was how close our room was to the kitchen. My wife and I were woken at 5 AM on both mornings we stayed. I can’t give it five stars.

The service was fine on the first day, but the hotel was filthy. The food was mediocre, and the air conditioning kept breaking down. A man followed me around the hotel, and I’ve included an image of him. Avoid him!

The breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the woman serving it was lovely and cheerful. Metro Centre is nearby, with lots of shops, cafes, and a big supermarket. Tourist sights are a short Uber ride away, usually around $4-10 depending on distance. I arrived at 1 am and Oliver was working. He was friendly, professional, and helpful, and insisted on carrying my bag upstairs since there’s no elevator. The hotel is clean and fine for the money. My room had a TV and air conditioning, and the bathroom was okay, with clean towels and Head & Shoulders sachets. There’s no fridge, which is a drawback in the sweltering heat when you’ve got nowhere to keep drinks cold. Maybe the hotel could add one for an extra $1 a night. It’s basic and has no frills, but good value if that’s what you’re after. Paddy the Dub. 🇮🇪
