Morrison Hotel San Salvador

The location is handy, with stores and Galerias Mall nearby, and places like the National Palace and El Boqueron easy to reach. I’d stay again. For the price, this is an excellent hotel: clean throughout, with friendly, professional staff. My room had a bedside table and lamp, a desk and chair, TV, AC, free Wi-Fi, a medium-sized closet, and towels. I’d only add a mini fridge and a desk lamp. It can be a bit noisy, but not too bad. Breakfast was included, and the kitchen is open for lunch and dinner if you want to buy a meal.

The breakfast staff were wonderful, serving a tasty local-style meal. The lobby was small but thoughtfully decorated, and the setup had a quaint local feel with a touch of elegance. The courtyard and pool were comfortable, with mosquito nets over them. Rooms were comfortable too, with working AC, clean sheets, comfortable pillows, and lovely hot water. It’s well placed for Galeria mall, the grocery store, Walmart opening a few blocks away, and a Wendy's two blocks away. My room was an interior one with no outside opening, and the AC blew straight at my face. The bathroom was reasonably nice, but the lights were so dim I could barely see myself in the mirror. There was no hair dryer.

I’ve been coming back for the past 4 years and highly recommend it. The staff are pleasant and seem to care about their guests. You can walk to a supermarket, malls, and restaurants from here.

The place is tiny, including the conference rooms, and the nightly price for rooms is hard to believe. The food wasn’t terrible, but the portions were very small. The restrooms also weren’t properly clean. Not a good experience.
