Princess Heights Luxury Boutique Condo Hotel

Breakfast was one of our favorite parts of the stay: simple, fresh, and delivered each morning so we could sit and take it all in. The waves, breeze, and mountains made for a balance that's hard to put into words but easy to feel. Traveling with family, we appreciated how warm and accommodating the staff were without being intrusive. Everything felt easy and gave us room to relax and reset. The condo at Princess Heights Hotel was beautiful, spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The view was what really made it special. We'd wake to the ocean just steps away, Dawn Beach in front of us, and St. Barts in the distance. After navigating the island, arriving at the property felt like exhaling. It settled us and became part of the experience. We'd return without hesitation.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. Don't be fooled by the pictures. I stayed from March 27-April 1st and had a bad experience throughout. The room was infested with mosquitoes, which I believe were coming from the bathroom drain, and they were all over the hotel site as soon as you stepped outside. We went all over the island and didn't encounter mosquitoes anywhere else like we did there. They moved me to another room, where the sink leaked. When we came back, I slipped and had to catch myself or I could have hit my head on the tub. The hilly location, which they don't mention, is dangerous if you're not a good driver. They're also far from everything, about 40 minutes away despite what the mileage might suggest. We were locked out when the gates wouldn't open. Since we didn't know the area, we spent over 40 minutes trying to find the secondary entrance. Security came but said they couldn't escort us there. We asked for laundry service the day before our flight, but it wasn't done when we got back, so we had to stay an extra day to finish it. I wrote and called to request a refund, but they disregarded what I said and offered two free nights if we came back and used them within six months. Why would I want to return and get attacked by mosquitoes? I have no intention of going back to St.Maarten within six months, so it wasn't a good offer. I don't usually leave bad reviews because I'd rather resolve problems first, but telling me to come back after everything I went through felt disrespectful.

The views from around Princess Heights Hotel were breathtaking, especially from our balconies. The pool was lovely too, with a slide and diving board that could keep kids entertained for hours. As a big animal lover, I loved seeing cats and dogs around the hotel. On our first day, we woke up to a small group of monkeys exploring the parking lot, which was a real treat for this Boston native. My family and I stayed four nights during a short vacation in St. Maarten and were very happy with our choice. The spacious rooms had king-sized beds and comfortable mattresses and pillows. Everything, including the sheets and pillowcases, looked very clean. The furniture and decor showed a lot of care and made it feel like a luxury home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen helped us save money: after grocery shopping, we had enough food for several days and ate inside or on the balcony. Just a heads-up, mosquitoes come out in the evening. The staff went above and beyond whenever we asked for anything, and the kind woman at the front desk helped us find a place for dinner. The hotel's atmosphere brought everything together, and you can see the love and passion put into building it. Princess Heights has authentic Caribbean architecture, unlike the bland chain hotels we passed. It was a 10/10 experience, and I couldn't recommend it more.

The balcony views were gorgeous, and the apartment had plenty of room and a fully equipped kitchen. We stayed for 4 nights. You really need a car here since it’s hilly, and walking to nearby restaurants may not be very pleasant. The staff were so friendly and caring. They even lent us beach chairs and an umbrella for the day at no charge. Thanks for a memorable stay!
