Seaview Beach Hotel

A nice place right on the Boardwalk. The room was clean and comfortable, though it could use a fresh coat of paint. Staff were always friendly and responsive, and housekeeping did a great job.

The bar service was terrible. The tall woman working there treated customers like minorities, aggressively and disrespectfully, and allowed outsiders to come in and smoke pot and cigars. I had a very bad experience and won't return. It felt extremely unsafe and unacceptable. The property seemed poorly managed and unsafe. There was no manager onsite, and staff seemed untrained or unsupervised. Their behavior was repeatedly rude, unprofessional, and discriminatory, which was deeply upsetting. At night, non-guests came onto the property, making it feel uncontrolled. During the day, random cruise passengers used the pool as though it were public. There was no sense of security or protection for guests. With no leadership or accountability and such poor treatment, I can't recommend this hotel.

The room was in rough shape, with grime on the walls and floor and black mold in the shower. The toilet quit working on day two. I reported it twice, but no one fixed it. That was a big difference from the online ad, which said the hotel had been newly renovated. The building itself was old, with paint peeling off.

Even one of the cooks shook her head when the bartender disappeared and we couldn't get service. There was only one woman behind the bar, but with just two tables occupied at Happy Hour, that seemed like enough. She didn't seem interested in helping us, and the service was very poor. When we were ready to pay, she brought an expensive receipt with no itemized charges. I asked whether she'd applied the clearly posted Happy Hour prices. She said we'd arrived before 4:00, which wasn't true. After checking our order time, she saw I was right, but the price on the new receipt was still the same. When I pushed back, she gave me a lame excuse. Don't go to this restaurant.
