Lugogo Sun Hotel

We stopped here overnight on the way to a safari. The room and other accommodations were very nice, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We were tired from travelling, so didn't use the spa or golf course. I didn't see a gym on the property, though one would be nice. I'd definitely stay again.

The restaurant is a highlight, with a fantastic range at the buffet breakfast, but it can get frustratingly crowded in the morning. If you've got a busy day, get up early to eat. The hotel has decent facilities, though the furnishings are a little old, the elevator is dated and slow, and the toilets are noisy.

It was very clean, but the hotel is old and doesn't look recently renovated. The food was okay, though expensive and honestly overcooked. We were first given smoking rooms despite requesting non-smoking ones, but they moved us after we complained about the smell. There were renovations underway without safety signs or warnings. Connecting to the WiFi was cumbersome, and the free allowance is only 150MB per day. Outside food isn't allowed, and there's no gym, though the swimming pool is nice. Two stars for cleanliness.

Nothing special, just a typical 3-star hotel that was fine for one night in October 2019. The rooms were spacious and clean, with good air-con. Food was mediocre apart from the popular stir-fry station. The bar by the restaurant was dim and noisy.
