Le Bleu Bed And Breakfast

This family-owned place is cute, affordable, and close to the airport. It’s a little farther from Grace Bay and other popular tourist spots, but good value for its location. Ms. Winter helped with our booking and went above and beyond to make the stay lovely. She made us a delicious homemade breakfast and arranged our transportation. I’d recommend it!

You’ll need a car in the Blue Hills area. This isn’t a resort or a fancy place, but the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff are amazing. Breakfast is available, and there’s a clean pool and a jacuzzi up top. There are stairs, not too bad, but they could be difficult if you’re unsteady on your feet. It’s a lovely little gem among the locals. If you’re after something posh, the Grace Bay resorts are about 10 minutes away.

I’ve just returned from staying here with friends, and it didn’t live up to some of the reviews. Ms. Winter, the property host and manager, responded to simple requests with a disgusting attitude. I felt unwelcome, and it seemed like she chose which guests to be nice to. The place wasn’t clean. When we requested cleaning, no sheets were changed and the space wasn’t properly cleaned. There were bugs, roaches, rats, and other creatures in the pool, around the property, and in the eating area. It’s not near excursions or tourist spots, and the area didn’t feel safe or walkable for girls. We don’t recommend it.

The place itself was beautiful, but Ms Wynter really made our stay. As the manager, she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She even showed us around part of the island, connected us with a car guy and suggested places to visit. We met some great people through her, too.
