Rock House

The food and drinks were fine. We live in DC, and the prices seemed on par with home. One thing to know before booking: there are lots of kids at this hotel. They weren't disruptive or ruining things, but it isn't an adults-only style resort. If that's what you want, go elsewhere. If kids don't bother you, have fun. The staff are amazing, full stop. Service can be slow, as other reviews say, but when it's busy they do their best. They're kind, attentive when they engage, and positively chatty. Over several days, you start to build little connections with them. The policies were difficult for us. Even with Leading Hotels of the World membership or a booking through high-end credit card services, the “if available” benefits weren't honored. We felt there were rooms available, but weren't offered an upgrade or late checkout. That impression came from being able to book a room and seeing empty rooms while walking around. We'd never booked or stayed at this price level before, so it was a splurge. If you're looking for a truly exclusive, high-end resort, you may want to look elsewhere. Given the cost, I wouldn't choose this resort again and couldn't recommend it without hesitation.

We went to Rock House for our honeymoon, and the views were incredible. The hotel is gorgeous, and the service was top notch, next level. It's also a short drive from Grace Bay Beach and other high-end restaurants. The staff were so friendly and warm. We'd definitely go back!

The view and the appetizer were the only highlights, and they earned the two stars. The pool and facilities looked fancy and modern, too, but the bar-restaurant downstairs by the rocks was awful. We waited 45 minutes for a drink and over an hour and twenty minutes for food, even though only a handful of tables were occupied. Everything arrived on the cold side, and the pizza was very bland. The fly spinner stopped working after five minutes, and the food was immediately swarmed. It was one of the most expensive meals I had during my two weeks on the island. Maybe I'd eat there for convenience if I were staying in one of the rooms, but if you have a car, I'd avoid it. Probably better for just getting an overpriced drink.

Orlando went above and beyond, sharing his knowledge and giving us great recommendations around the island. The staff remembered our names right away, and their attention to detail made us feel welcome. The hotel itself is stunning, beautifully designed, and extremely clean. We stayed at Rock House for our two-year anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. We'll recommend it to everyone and can't wait to come back!
