Hotel AEROCITO

For a first trip to Togo, I came for business and a tour, and chose this hotel based on a recommendation. That turned out to be a big mistake. The pictures had already made me unsure, but seeing the place in person was even more disappointing. I wasted money on a stay with poor customer service and difficult communication. The people in charge came across as uncaring and indifferent, with little regard for guests. There were power outages, which also meant no Wi-Fi for communication, even though they had a generator. My invitees couldn't reach me on WhatsApp, and my participants were injured when the power went out during my event and the staircase had no lights. I had to arrange the event venue myself, with no help, despite discussing it before I arrived and again that morning. Room service was poor. The towels were so overused and washed I wouldn't use them even for a pet, the soaps were cut up, there was no welcome water despite the high prices, the toilet seats weren't good, the shower and heater didn't work, the ceiling fan was broken, and the bedsheet was faded. I waited 1.39mins for a meal because there was no working in-house kitchen, so plan for your food if you stay. This hotel is best described as a meeting room. Everything was badly done, and even after I spoke to the manager, my needs and requests were ignored. The receptionist said she spoke a little English but wouldn't communicate in English, which made our stay difficult. I wouldn't stay here again even for free. Togo would have been nice without this hotel experience.
