I only spent one night here, and wish I’d made more time. The riverside home is even more charming in person. The photos don’t show how peaceful it feels. Our host was warm, friendly, and clearly proud of what she does. The next morning she even took us to the Mae Klong train market. Amphawa is worth visiting even if it wasn’t already on your list. It’s a lovely break from busy Bangkok, with an atmosphere you won’t find elsewhere.

The floating market is close by, and the accommodation is peaceful, right by the river, with an authentic, idyllic feel that’s great for relaxing. Our host was kind and friendly, always ready with tips on lovely places to explore. She was responsive and helpful, and even took us to the Maeklong Railway Market and joined us for a train trip. We really appreciated that. Highly recommend!

Dao made my two days here the best. She helped me with everything and gave me so many tips on things to do. She’s awesome, and I’ll miss her! The room was great, clean, nice, and cheap. The neighborhood was kind too, with that true Thaïland mood. Thanks for everything, Dao.

Our original hosts weren’t available, so we were heading to Bangkok and stayed here for one night. The host was so kind and arranged all our boat trips, as well as showing us the local area. The rooms were clean and good. We wish we’d had more time here. Really recommend it. Cheers ✌️

A traditional, wood-filled homestay by the river. The owners are polite and welcoming. It’s very peaceful, and there’s a cool breeze when you sit by the water.
