We booked based on the app showing the hotel right by the river, but on arrival they took us to a different area, far from the location shown online. They admitted the app had the wrong location and said the photos and hotel name were the same, which felt like they were blaming us and treating the mix-up as acceptable. After spending a lot of time trying to explain, we had to find another hotel. They offered no refund. Very disappointing, and I definitely don’t recommend it.

Agoda eventually told me the hotel had just said the room was under construction. The whole thing felt dodgy. The hotel only has two or three rooms, and I spoke with one of the guests, who had also had problems. It turned out they were staying in the room I had booked, the green room, rivet suite. At first, the owner or manager took a while to answer the number I was told to call, then said there was no room because ours was supposedly “broken.” She said she had informed Agoda, but I had received no message or cancellation. Agoda helped right away and called the hotel to confirm we had been refused, since I needed that confirmation to get back the money I had paid. The hotel then told Agoda we hadn’t been refused and could check in, though of course we couldn’t. Trust the bad reviews and rating. Don’t stay here.

No sheets to cover up with, just a smelly dooner that didn't seem to have been washed in ages. There were no batteries in the air con remote, and no wifi even though it was advertised, because they hadn't paid the bill. Breakfast was a greasy omelette and sausage. The floorboards were caving in around the toilet. There’s no reception, and you apparently have to find the registration in a closet, though I found it behind a desk. The photos look great 😅, but this was the worst experience I’ve had so far 😂.

They still hadn’t contacted us by 15/10/23 to confirm the reimbursement or apologize. We arrived to find no staff for check-in and had to call the hotel to get someone to return. I had booked through the official website on 2/10/23 and my card was charged that day, but they said they couldn’t find the booking. Because it was a long weekend and hotels were full, they said they had no room that met their standards. They offered another hotel, neither by the river nor up to the same standard, and still wanted full payment at check-in. They refused to reimburse us immediately and said we’d have to wait 14 days. There was no compensation for our cancelled holiday. I wouldn’t recommend it, go somewhere else.
