The staff were friendly and the meals were good. It’s also a nice spot for a short kayak trip. I like the idea of what they’re trying to do to build tourism, but the resort needs work: our old towels and sheets were stained, Wi-Fi was patchy, and the pool was small and uninviting. A few improvements could make this place great.

I arrived today with a group trip, and the place is badly maintained. Basic cleaning is missing everywhere. My room had what looked like mouse or bird droppings all over the floor and wall. The sheets and duvet were badly stained, the towels stank, and the shower drain was clogged. There were yellow marks on the wall, visible soap stains on the bathroom tiles, and ants filling the sink. With cleanliness this poor, especially animal poop all over the room, public health authorities should close the place. This isn’t a resort, it’s the last resort for accommodation.

This is a peaceful escape with views across Phang Nga Bay and Chon Lat. You’ll want transport to explore the area. We took a great kayak trip up one of the local estuaries to a cave. The rooms can sleep up to six and have three toilet-shower rooms. The hot water system is unusual: heat from the aircon warms the shower water, which comes out hot with good pressure. The main reception is in traditional Baba style.

A hidden gem run by a super friendly local family. It’s a lovely place to slow down and experience real southern Thai island life. There’s great kayaking, plus local community sights and tours, including an orchid farm, temples, food, Hong Island, and James Bond Island.
