Baiyoke Boutique

I wasn't sure how the wine service worked. I ordered a bottle, then found out there was no table service for wine: you pick from the selection at a table, and they bring it over. Some instructions beforehand would have helped, especially since we watched other guests being served right away. You can walk over and wait for it yourself, but being served is much better. The dinner buffet on the 82nd floor lived up to the hype. Service was amazing, and the food was exceptional. I didn't realize we could ask the waitress for steak, grilled giant shrimp, Italian dishes, grilled oysters, and squid. The Japanese sashimi was great, especially the tuna. The baby suckling pig with crackle and the roasted duck were cooked to perfection. The steak was tender, which is unusual for Thailand or anywhere in ASEA.

The breakfast was the same every day, and the staff were rude and arrogant. We asked for a quiet corner room, but drunk guests made noise all night until we complained to the hotel. We'd requested an early check-in, yet our stay at baiyoke boutique only began at 2pm. We were also given just one room key card, even after asking for another.

The room was spacious, and breakfast had a good variety. Service was okay. The carpet could use a wash, but the place was fine overall. Good value for money for a solo traveller needing an overnight stop in Bangkok. It's next to ARL and close to Pratunam market.

The rooms felt old and poorly maintained, more like a one-star or private hotel, and I didn't feel comfortable in them. The reception staff were very rude and only recited the hotel's policies. They also take an additional 1000 bath as a security deposit. What I saw didn't match the pictures on Agoda or other websites. Even with an 80% or 90% discount, I wouldn't recommend coming here. It feels overpriced even at the discounted rate. This is different from the actual BAIYOKE HOTEL.
