K Garden

There’s plenty to keep you busy here: a cafe, pool and pingpong tables, and a game room with Alexa for music, all looking out over a beautiful garden. The food is phenomenal, and the location is great, with lots to do nearby. It’s a short taxi ride to downtown, but far enough away to be peaceful. They clean the rooms every day and the common areas every two hours. The staff go out of their way to make you feel safe, welcome and at ease, whatever brings you here. They even bring breakfast to your room. I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in Bangkok.

After about two months here, I’d definitely stay again. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to, and they keep everything carefully clean. There’s free Wi-Fi, a washing machine, a microwave and a recreation room with pingpong and pool. There’s a lovely bit of towel art waiting when you first enter the room. Breakfast has such a wide choice under 300THB, and everything I tried was delicious, so it’s hard to choose. K cafe is on site too, a relaxing spot for coffee and a light meal. Thank you so much! 😊💕

The housekeeping team was 10/10, some of the friendliest people I’ve met, and the area is beautiful with everything you need close by. But getting around Bangkok itself meant a taxi ride of 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the time. I stayed for three months while having surgeries at Kamol Hospital. The rooms were comfortable and service was generally good, but the internet was atrocious. I spent much of recovery troubleshooting or waiting for videos to buffer. Since my friends and family were on the other side of the world, keeping in touch online was nearly impossible unless I bought a data plan and used it as a hotspot. The SOS buttons in the rooms didn’t work for me. During a panic attack in my first month I pressed one and got no response. Two months later, someone from the front desk came to my door after noticing I’d called for help. If there’s an emergency, it seems you won’t get help unless you can make it to the lobby or reach the phone, which is far from the beds. After my tummy-tuck and thigh lift in my third month, I was told to spend lots of time in bed. The front desk would call to ask about changing my breakfast, but I often couldn’t get to the phone in time and would strain myself for nothing. The hotel is owned by the hospital, yet hospital staff weren’t told which surgeries guests were recovering from or where they were in recovery. There are two washers and two dryers, and laundry time is a competition with other guests and staff unless you stay up at night. The machines are low to the ground, so I couldn’t use them if surgery meant I had to avoid bending or lifting. The lack of privacy was another problem. The day after I was discharged from those two surgeries, staff came to replace three burned-out bulbs. I was getting dressed and called out, “One moment!” but they used their keycards to open the door before I’d covered my breasts. It can take a while to get dressed right after discharge, and I’d asked for that time. I did feel at home here, but these frustrations could have been avoided.

I spent a month at the K Garden Hotel after surgery at Kamol Cosmetic Hospital, and it became one of the happiest, least stressful stays I’ve had anywhere. Every staff member greeted me with a smile and treated me with grace and respect. The room and hotel were just right for my needs: spotless, quiet, and with a comfortable bed. The first aid room was staffed by two wonderful nurses, S. and A. Whenever I asked the front desk a question or made a request, they responded right away. They also passed along any messages I needed promptly, so I never felt anxious during my stay. Thank you Lay, Me., Tu., Ma., Des., Lam., Be., Ku., Wi.,So., An. and Nat., and everyone else I haven’t named. I’ll remember that month with joy for the rest of my life. ❤️
