Zenith Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok

The incorrect restaurant charge at checkout added to an already badly disrupted stay. We were billed for items we hadn't ordered or eaten, which was very unprofessional. Room access was another problem. In the evening, my key card wouldn't open the new room. A receptionist came with me, but their card failed too; only a housekeeping key worked. Staff then issued replacement cards and came back to the room around five or six times to try to sort it out. The repeated visits made me extremely uncomfortable. At 10:20 PM reception called to say an engineer needed to replace the door system and asked me to choose when. With problems still going on, I couldn't relax or enjoy the evening. Earlier that day I had checked in at 2:00 PM and found the air conditioning wasn't working. Reception told me to wait an hour, but nobody came. I called again before an engineer was sent. They spent considerable time trying, but didn't fix it. I had also specifically requested a non-smoking king room and was given a smoking room, so there were additional room changes. Reception didn't tell me until 7:00 PM that I would have to change rooms because of the air conditioning, wasting much of my afternoon. The technical failures, poor coordination, wrong room assignment, billing error, and constant interruptions were unacceptable and seriously affected my stay. I expect the matter to be taken seriously and to receive a clear explanation of how these problems will be prevented.

The rooftop pool, helpful service, amazing location, and included breakfast, which was okay, were all positives. The hotel itself was nice, but the price put me off. I've stayed in places of similar quality for much less. It isn't a luxury hotel, even though the rate is close to luxury prices. I also expected a sauna, but there was only a steam room.

The service was attentive and friendly, and the dim sum was delicious. The Peking duck especially stood out, with crispy skin and careful preparation. It's been a great experience every time I've come, and I'd highly recommend it.

Miss Mona made a real difference during my stay. Her professionalism, kindness, and helpfulness went above and beyond, and she made everything smooth and enjoyable. Thanks to her and the whole team for making the visit so pleasant. I had a wonderful stay, with comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service from the moment I arrived. I'd happily recommend the hotel and hope to return.
