The reception staff were nice, and the room was as clean as it could be, but the whole place smelled old, musty, and moldy. It’s much older than it looks in the Google, Agoda, or booking photos. This isn’t a business hotel. I wanted a soft, comfortable bed, and this one was extremely hard. The pillows were old and lumpy, and the shower had almost no pressure. The water was only just warm, not hot. The bathroom was okay, with a shower over the tub; the tub looked fine if you wanted a bath, and the toilet and sink were very clean. There’s a nice full-length mirror on the way to the bathroom. The AC couldn’t really be controlled. It only came on at its set temperature, with no remote, and the wall keypad was dead. Wi-Fi was just okay, and I’d have struggled without my Thai SIM. I asked for four pillows, a microwave, tea, and coffee, but only got a microwave that looked like it was from the 1990s. The phone didn’t work, so I couldn’t call reception. When I went down to ask for cups, tea, coffee, and pillows, the response was “No have.” I was glad I’d brought my own coffee cup and coffee. She did give me two extra lumpy pillows. There were some handy things: power plugs by both sides of the bed, an ashtray on the balcony, and a business chair out there too. Smoking is allowed on the balcony, which may suit a serious smoker. I moved hotels because I wanted a comfortable soft bed, and this one didn’t work for me.
