The location in Chinatown was ideal, close to the MRT and some amazing places to eat. We stayed three nights, Feb 14-17, 2026, and the room was cleaned every day and stayed fresh. It was handy to have a washing machine, an ironing area, and a microwave for guests to use. Check-in was available around the clock, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay again.

There was construction all around the hotel in February 2026, but we asked for a room away from the road and it was as quiet as possible. Not a single night of interrupted sleep. The room was spacious, cool, and clean, with a small fridge and complimentary items refreshed daily. The TV connected to YouTube and actually worked. That made a difference after a long day of walking, when all we wanted was a shower and something we liked on TV. This place is a real gem, and we’d stay again.

Lub d Bangkok Chinatown is a clean, social, well-located budget hostel, and I’d still recommend it. The beds were comfortable, with privacy curtains and lockers in the room. Bathrooms were clean too, which stood out. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the Tribe Hideout is a nice place to relax and meet other travelers. There’s another lounge area just outside the rooms, a smoking area, and paid washing machines that are useful for longer stays. The main disappointment was drinking water. The hostel sells it at reception for 45 THB but has no free water or dispenser. In Thailand, where tap water isn’t safe to drink, I’d expect a budget hostel to offer a free option. I walked five minutes to 7-Eleven and bought two liters for 14 THB instead. Management should reconsider this small but meaningful detail, since it affected the guest experience.

The room was our favorite part, so spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with everything we needed and more. The bed was huge and comfortable, and I’m going to miss it! The design throughout was beautiful, and the staff were really nice and helpful. There were plenty of people around, so it was easy to meet others. We had such a great time. Awesome place, highly recommend!

Sam Yot MRT is only a few steps away, which made getting around so convenient. After three nights at Lub d, I can see why it has such strong reviews. I’ve stayed at pricier hotels, but had a great experience here: the room was spacious, nicely decorated, and very clean. There’s a free microwave, paid laundry on the second floor, and a front desk open 24/7. I’d happily stay again when I’m back in Bangkok. Room slippers would have made it perfect, though.
