Mananchaya Resort

For 500 baht, I got a clean, tidy room, and the staff were cheerful and friendly. The location is great, a short way from the Ao Luek intersection and near shops and restaurants. The air conditioner is noisy and barely works on its lower fan settings, though, and the water pressure is low.

I left my wallet in another room during my stay, and the staff found it and brought it back to my room with everything still inside. The accommodation was comfortable, the service was excellent, and everyone was very polite. I'll definitely stay with them again.

For 500 baht, the location is convenient and easy to reach. The owner was welcoming, and the caretaker was excellent, but the room itself was really poor. It felt like a resort that had been left abandoned and then dusted off for guests. I was ready to leave a good review and even set up a camera, but the room's condition changed my mind. The bed was okay, the TV and fridge worked, and the air conditioning got cold. That was about it. The covered parking area had a gate that wouldn't close, and there was hardly any light at night. The room wasn't clean. Cars drove through the village road that runs across the resort all night. There was a visible window in the glass door, and the window had no lock, so someone could reach in. The bathroom wasn't good either. The shower was very dirty and the water ran slowly. The sink drained poorly because its stopper locked and wouldn't come back up, and the faucet also ran slowly. The room seemed just barely fit for sleeping.

This cheap hotel in the countryside could suit you if you want somewhere quiet, but it's very old and run-down and needs renovating. The website photos don't match what it's really like. The room itself was very clean, though. There were lots of mosquitoes, probably because of the small bodies of water nearby, and the mattress was so hard that I couldn't sleep.
