Ao Nang Home Stay

The owners kindly moved me to a better room type at no extra charge. It was large and comfortable, cleaned daily, and came with two bottles of water each day, coffee and a kettle. The house is a well-kept, clean traditional Thai home, and I felt at home there, with its cozy atmosphere, lake and fish, dog and two cats. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the beach, but the road is quiet and pretty, with nice restaurants close by, including one right next door. I loved the location. My only little wish was for some traditional fruit to enjoy on the balcony. Everything else was really amazing.

There’s a family-run Thai restaurant right beside the homestay, and my friends and I ate there several times. The housekeeping lady also does laundry for a good price, and the service was excellent. The place is clean and well cared for, with air conditioning, towels and everything else you need. It’s away from the noise but still walkable to the beach and shops. The host is kind and very nice. I strongly recommend it.

When we checked out for a tour, our host let us leave our bags at the homestay until we got back. Such a nice gesture, and I’d definitely return. Check-in was seamless, and we also got a discount at All Day Massage, which was amazing (see my other review). The room was cozy and clean, with water in the fridge, coffee, shampoo and body wash. The little dog was super cute and friendly, and the waterfall koi pond made lovely sounds while we sat on the balcony in the evening. It’s a short walk to the Monkey Trail and Ao Nang beach, just off the main road, so there’s some peace and quiet, especially at night.

The rooms aren’t soundproof, which was the one downside. If you can, avoid the ground floor. Still, the room had the basics for a good stay. The owners’ mother was so sweet and hospitable, looking after all the little things around the property and feeding the pets. She even let me use her room to change after checkout time. Our vanity case wasn’t working, but they got it fixed while we were there. A little care goes a long way. Thank you, Ao Nang home stay!
