Aonang Fiore Resort

The only thing that really bothered us was the hotel car queue for trips into the city. It felt chaotic, and staff let some visitors skip ahead, so some of us waited a long time. We ended up taking a private taxi ourselves. Even so, this jungle hotel was a real highlight of our Thailand trip. I loved the place, especially its incredible location amid all that lush greenery. We stayed at several places, and this one was my favourite by far. I’d absolutely recommend it.

We’d give this resort 10 out of 10 and would love to return. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the room was comfortable, convenient, and well prepared. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The pool is quiet, clean, and not crowded, with an amazing view. There’s also a viewpoint at the top of the resort, reached by stairs, with stunning scenery over the Krabi mountains. The resort sits on a mountain in a peaceful natural setting. Staff were impressive from reception onward, including the team who drove us to our room. Rooms are up the hillside, with a free shuttle going both uphill and downhill. You can drive up or walk, though the steeper walk can be tiring for rooms higher up.

The pool was a highlight, and the pool bar service was excellent. Service was great in general, especially from the helpful, courteous pool staff and shuttle driver. The resort is surrounded by greenery and is conveniently close to the main Ao Nang beach market, with a 7-Eleven right across from the hotel. Our Deluxe Cottage room was decent and comfortable enough, but it felt a bit worn and could use renovation to look more modern. Breakfast was average at best, with very few vegetarian options. Since the hotel is Muslim-owned, it doesn’t serve alcohol on the property, which may be a drawback for some guests. We still had a great stay thanks to the location, greenery, and service, though better vegetarian food and room updates would improve it.

We’ve just finished five nights here and would stay again. It was very good value, with friendly staff, good facilities, a spacious clean room, and a tranquil jungle setting with lovely green gardens. The rooms sit back in the hills, so the walk can get tiring, but a shuttle taxi takes you up. The pool was good too. Our only letdown was the limited Western breakfast choices.
