The guy at reception was very kind, but I had an awful night here. The mattress and pillow were unbelievably hard and uncomfortable for the price. The room was freezing, even though people had already complained. The AC and fan were noisy, and the thin blanket wasn’t enough. I spent the whole night shaking from the cold. I asked for another blanket around 10pm, but they said they couldn’t give me one then. If you have a suitcase, be ready for a lot of stairs. It’s not easy, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Really disappointing.

I’ve stayed in lots of hostels over the past 10 months, and this was easily the most disgusting one I’ve ever booked. Honestly, homeless shelters and even prisons look better. I left after a couple of hours because there was no way I could sleep there 🙃

The price was high and the value was terrible. There was no awareness of service at all. The teenagers running the place seemed drunk and on drugs, and only interested in their own stay. The room smelled of mold, the sheets smelled bad, and the shower was disgusting. There wasn’t even space for toilet paper or anything else. A truly terrible place.

Arielle was extremely quick and professional when she replaced the room’s electricity keycard after another resident simply removed it and switched off the power. I also liked the pool, which has a really good view, and the staff organize lots of events and activities. But compared with other hostels I’ve stayed in Thailand, the room and toilet in Social Quarters were really bad, even for a four-person room. The toilet always smelled bad, perhaps from the drain. Many holes in the shower head were clogged, so barely any water came through. The bunks had no curtains, and the mattresses were bad. Every other day, the bar played super loud music. The bass was so strong you could feel the speakers vibrating while lying in bed, and earplugs were no use. I’m giving all the stars purely for Arielle.
