We’re 12 people and have only just checked in, but already we’re wondering what options we have because changing hotels isn’t easy for a group this size. The rooms smelled so bad we couldn’t sit in them, so we asked to move. Staff said they couldn’t smell anything and refused to change our rooms or do anything about it. When we said we might leave if they wouldn’t move us, they bluntly told us to go ahead and speak to our agent. They were rude and acted like providing the rooms was a favor. They even refused to put the incident in writing, in case we were wrong.

This feels like a three-star hotel at most, despite pretending to be five-star. The rooms are old and small, and the curtains are covered in moss and mold. The bathroom leaves you wondering whether you came out cleaner or dirtier. Getting towels means begging, and the staff come across like robots rather than people. The dining room is dirty and full of ants. The TV looked like something from the 1970s, with nothing but static, and some power outlets don’t work. Poor value for money, and it ruined the whole vacation.

We were disappointed enough by lunch that we chose to eat outside the hotel after that. Room service brought our food cold, the spring rolls were soggy, and the pizza was hard and cold. I mentioned it to the front desk when checking out, but they just said okay, which made it seem like they didn’t care about feedback or planned to do anything. The duplex room itself was good, with a bathtub, hair dryer, tea and coffee, and two bottles of water each day. The minibar was empty, though, and there were no welcome amenities. We stayed two nights.

The rooms seemed okay from what I could see, but hygiene was terrible. The buffet was filthy, with crumbs left on the tables even after we asked the staff to wipe them properly. They got annoyed when we asked for disinfectant. I told them my partner and I had food poisoning the day before and wanted to eat somewhere clean. They didn’t give a damn.
