iCheck inn Sky Beach Ao Nang Krabi

We were there over New Year and paid an unbelievable 4500 baht per night for what it is. I know that’s the busiest time of year, but anything you need from the hotel is next door, including reception. It’s also about a 10-15 minute walk to Ao Nang’s main strip.

We wanted somewhere comfortable in a quieter area, and this fit. The bed was comfortable, the air con worked well, and the shower was lovely. I’d recommend it.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Don’t expect views or luxury service, but it’s good value if you pay under 1000 THB.

The room information wasn’t clear. There are Superior rooms with no view and Deluxe rooms, but they don’t explain what view comes with each. We couldn’t even get a guarantee that a Deluxe room would face the street or jungle. It felt like a tourist trap, with an upgrade to pay for in the end. The water flow was very slow, so getting ready took twice as long. The hotel isn’t near a convenience store or good restaurant, and walking to the beach takes up to 15 minutes. At night, the walk to party or enjoy the beach takes you past an abandoned hotel. There’s no receptionist on site either, as they share one with T2 hotel. I couldn’t call anyone there for help in an emergency. We could hear all the outside noise even with the door properly closed, especially worrying if you get a street-side room. I spent around 7,000 THB for four nights, with no breakfast, no security, and a bad view. I hope this helps others set their expectations.
