Kokotel Krabi Ao Nang

Staff were wonderful, and the location worked really well. We liked the breakfast choices and had it every morning. It’s a mid-range hotel, and they supplied beach towels. They even checked our room before we left and let us know we’d forgotten something, which was so nice. A bit more cleaning would help, but in general it was good.

The staff were a real bright spot, polite, informative, and genuinely helpful. My bed was comfortable, and the room looked clean with some nice amenities. The bathroom needs attention, though: the old shower had rust and limescale, and the sink was leaking when I arrived. Maintenance fixed it the next morning. I had a balcony facing the main street, which was pleasant in the daytime, but the street and the noise from the corridor made nights difficult. The soundproofing is poor, so light sleepers may not rest well. The central location on Ao Nang’s main street is very convenient. Breakfast is 250 baht, but it comes as a small paper voucher for an à la carte meal at a nearby restaurant, not at the hotel. With so many places around, you could just pick another spot for breakfast.

Breakfast was a highlight for our family, with lots of choices, great coffee from the on-site cafe, and really good food and fruit each morning. Our son also loved the play area and rooftop pool on the days we stayed in. The hotel is on a busy walking street, about two blocks from the beach, which was just right for us. I worried it might be loud at night, but it wasn’t too bad. We were busy during the day and tired by bedtime. We were very pleased with our stay and would return if we’re in the main KRABI area again.

WAI was especially kind and made a real difference. After we returned late from a boat trip, she helped us find somewhere to change since we’d checked out earlier and left our luggage at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and thoughtfully designed, with a lovely lobby café serving good coffee and snacks. It’s centrally located in Krabi, close to what you need, but the nightclubs opposite play music late. The doors, windows, and walls barely block the sound, so you’ll hear it in the room. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs or you may struggle to rest.
