There were plenty of useful things in the room: lockers and sinks, plus each bed had a lamp, outlet, storage bag, and privacy curtains. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the balcony and drying rack came in handy for wet clothes. Staff were nice. It's on the main street and about a 10-15 minute walk from Ao Nang Beach. Nights were fairly quiet apart from traffic engines. We arrived before the 3:00 PM check-in and had to leave our backpacks in the common area. The host said the bathroom would be unavailable for 30 minutes because of a water shortage, but when we returned two hours later there was still no water. Other guests said it had been out the day before as well. Service came back by evening, though sink water was yellow and smelled of chlorine. There was no water boiler or drinking water provided, and the mattresses were very hard.

There's no guest kitchen or even a kettle, and they don't provide drinking water. The space between beds is cramped, with one unpleasant shared bathroom for women and men. It's also quite a way from the beach, and there's no activity or atmosphere. Check-in is at 3 PM, and until then I saw no staff except the cleaner, who was unpleasant to deal with. The receptionist only appeared at 3 and took his time checking us in. As far as I could tell, it was just the two of them. The receptionist seemed high much of the time and got irritated easily when he wasn't. There was no support or customer service.

A real bargain right in the centre. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning, and there are plenty of showers. The dorm balcony was handy for drying clothes. Downstairs there's a relaxed bar, and the staff are really friendly.

You have to buy your own drinking water, and apparently your own tap water too. We had almost a whole day without water, and got no notice or help, just a snarky suggestion to shower in the ocean. They were strict about check-in, checking the time and making us wait until just before 2. At 9 in the morning, though, they cleaned the beds and talked loudly enough to wake people. After we had waited for hours, my friend still had to make her own bed, despite those men sitting around doing nothing. The last bed had no curtain on both sides. Maybe they thought the window curtain was enough, but they opened it at 9 AM and the sun shone right in my face. Then they acted surprised that it woke me. It happened both days I was there.
