Pop-In Hostel Aonang

There's free coffee and tea downstairs, the rooms are spacious, the furniture is new, and they provide cleaning. The staff are very friendly. But if you want a good night's sleep, don't stay here. It's WAY TOO NOISY and sleep is basically impossible. The bar downstairs blasts music every day until midnight. You have to go down and ask them to turn it down. They do, but having to do that every night is annoying. Then the same thing happens the next day. Earplugs don't help. I rented two rooms, and the price isn't very cheap. Still, it feels like they prefer serving people from outside who pop in for cheap beers. I can't recommend it for families or couples with kids. It might work for hostel guests who like hanging out with strangers outside.

The room, beds and sheets were clean and fresh, and I slept well. The staff were friendly too. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer. In the morning the shower area smelled bad, though the toilets were clean. The sink could use a remodel, maybe tiles instead of paint, since I saw some mold. The common area smelled strongly of sewage, so we couldn't hang out there and had to use the outdoor seats. There's no elevator, so good luck hauling big luggage up to the third floor. The beach is a bit of a walk away.

The private hostel room was comfortable and clean, and the owners were very friendly. Service was great, and the location is excellent, close to the beach with everything within walking distance. A wonderful stay, highly recommended! 🌊😊

The curtains around the beds don't close all the way, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I booked through Agoda after seeing the good reviews, location and price. It's a good place if you're passing through Ao Nang, though I wouldn't stay for long. The staff are super friendly, but the common area is limited. In the evening there isn't really a quiet place besides your room. It's also not a very social hostel, and if your roommates aren't outgoing, making friends could be tricky. The hostel doesn't arrange social events. That's fine by me, though, and it won't suit everyone.
