The location worked well for us, with a good laundry, a pharmacy and massage places close by, and the beach about a 15-minute walk away. The area itself wasn't too noisy, though the sounds from nearby rooms were bad. We could hear people above us and across the hall. We stayed on the pool floor. The room was large but dated, and the curtains were visibly dirty. The towels smelled odd, and there were no face towels. The bathroom had poor ventilation and several mold spots on the shower walls. The shower was broken: turn it up much and water sprayed toward the ceiling. With only a curtain and no proper enclosure, the whole bathroom got wet, so we had to ask for daily cleaning. The Wi-Fi didn't work in the room, and the hotel said it doesn't work there. The receptionist and night staff were kind and helpful, but the accommodation was disappointing. These problems really bothered me, so I can't give it a high rating. It could be a great place with some improvements.

The beach is about 15 minutes away, and getting to my room on the second floor meant climbing a massive staircase. There's no elevator, and that floor is technically two floors below reception. The room and bathroom fittings were very old and poorly maintained. Worst of all, the shower only had hot water. I called about it, and they said it needed maintenance, but I was already checking out. They told me to use the pool shower instead. From the start to the end, the stay felt subpar. I don't know how this place has such a high rating.

The property is a bit old, but it has a quiet pool and is 1.5 km from the beach. They also offer scooter rentals. The owner and her friend at reception were very good.

The location made this a great value for the money, with tour booking booths, restaurants, shops and the beach all nearby. We had a fantastic two-night stay. Our room was very spacious, with a charming vintage feel and a large balcony with lovely views. There’s also a small pool for guests. The staff seemed less than friendly, and they were very strict about checkout time. Still, I’m so glad we chose this hotel.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious, and the pool was a good size. The location was convenient too, with both the night market and Landmark Market within walking distance.
