The Morning Minihouse Aonang

The family who owns the hotel were very friendly and service oriented. The rooms were clean and great, and the beds really good. After a day at the beach, we enjoyed the small, fresh pool, which we had to ourselves. There’s a very good dinner restaurant nearby called Chili, a nice breakfast café close by and a seven eleven around the corner. There’s a noisy, busy road outside, though it didn’t bother us much. It’s easy to get a low-cost tuktuk or taxi to the beach. Highly recommended, you get a lot for the money!

The helping lady ‘Pray’ was helpful, and they let an additional guest stay when everywhere else was booked. But the room stinks, with the smell coming from the bathroom drains, and the bathroom locks weren’t good. My child got trapped inside for 15 minutes before we could get him out. The place felt overpriced for its quality and service. I’ve stayed at much better locations with better quality for 3000 THB per night. It’s 1.5 km from the market, and the nearest restaurant is around 400 meters away. Stayed in February 2026.

The owner was very accommodating when I arrived and saw that my Agoda booking didn’t get me a room like the picture. He fixed the issue, and I appreciated that. He said Agoda had copied and promoted the picture without permission, even though he’d stopped using Agoda as an agency a long time ago. He said the same thing had happened twice during high season, and Agoda was making its price cheaper than others. I was happy with my 4night stay, and the room was very clean. By motorbike, the beach wasn’t far. I wouldn’t recommend this location to older people who want to walk, though: the road is small, and it takes around 19-20 minutes on foot.

The staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful, and the location was good with restaurants, shops and bars nearby. There was a nice little pool too. We stayed three nights in the Budget double room with window shown in the video. It was quite small, especially the bathroom. Then we moved to the double room with balcony, which was much nicer, more spacious and had a much bigger bathroom. We’d booked four nights through Agoda, and the only availability meant changing rooms in between, which we didn’t mind.
