La Villa Boutique Hotel (SHA Plus+)

The location is handy for the Cambodia/Thai crossing, and breakfast, though limited, was tasty if you like Asian food. Still, we probably wouldn't stay again. Our three-bed room was too cramped for three twin beds, with barely enough room for our two carry-on bags. The bathroom was small as well, and the tiny closet was almost useless since there wasn't even one coat hanger. The room also wasn't soundproof, so hallway conversations and footsteps came straight through the door. I couldn't work out the boutique's theme. It felt like a collage of everything. The receptionist seemed annoyed when we asked about local eateries and wasn't very hospitable. She needs training on how to greet guests properly.

The buffet breakfast was good, and the swimming pool was a decent size. I enjoyed my stay at La Villa hotel. The bedroom window looked onto a messy garden, though, and the tasty food at the small restaurant came with a problem: there were lots of flies in one corner that staff should have cleared away.

The street noise made it hard to sleep past 6:30am. There were birds right outside the window, construction sounds from saws and hammers, and very loud speakers as parades went past. Bring headphones if you want to sleep in. I still found the place beautiful, with great, accommodating staff, a clean pool and spotless gym. The room was wonderful, too. Breakfast was delicious and very Asian, but there were no Western options.

Breakfast was included and had a good range of options. The rooms were reasonably quiet, and the AC was extremely quiet as well. They also managed to arrange a motorbike for me, which can be tough to find in this city. Great hotel.
