Muster House - Hostel

The host really seemed to care about us being comfortable, and gave us ideas for things to do and places to eat. She was super lovely and let us keep our bags, then have another shower in the evening on the day we checked out. What a lovely stay.

The owner was the nicest, and everything was clean. Bicycles cost 50thb for the whole day, a perfect way to get around Ayutthaya. They also have water, soft drinks, and beer in the fridge at good prices. Such a nice place, 10/10, would recommend.

They cooked eggs and rice for us the next morning, recommended things to see, and sent us off with a bag of fruit. What an incredible experience! The bathrooms were shared, but there weren’t too many rooms per floor, and ours was a "family" floor. Everything was very clean, with really nice soap and shampoo. The rooms are at least a flight of stairs up, but the stairs are decent. We called ahead because we were driving and weren’t sure exactly when we’d arrive, only that it would be around midnight. They were more than accommodating when we got there at 12:30, and there was even a sign with our name on it. Our third-floor room was lovely and comfortable. The curtains weren’t blackout, but they were fine for us. They also gave us an extension cord and water. So comfortable, friendly, welcoming, lovely, and amazing!

When I mentioned I had a 9 pm night train to Chiang Mai, the owner gave me snacks and water to take along, free of charge. After a busy day exploring, I could also shower before leaving, even though checkout was at noon. I was offered a free traditional Thai breakfast and got to use the owner's bike for free to explore the city. One of the best guest house or Airbnb experiences I’ve had. I’ve stayed with quite a few hosts, and she was amazing.
