Phuttal Residence

We stayed here during a three-week trip, and it was our favorite hotel. The setting by the river is peaceful and beautiful, the rooms have a modern feel with plenty of charm, and the decor is lovely. It's also in a great area near the temples. Service was great, and breakfast was really good.

The atmosphere is incredibly quiet, just right for resting. Staff were wonderful, kind, and helpful, and the rooms were beautifully equipped with lots of tech. My room had a large TV with Netflix accounts already set up. Breakfast was generous and very good, with different dishes. They also offer free bicycles for going into the city, and a boat can pick you up right in front of the hotel on the river. One of the best hotels I've stayed in.

We only booked one night at the Phuttal Residence, and I wish we'd stayed longer. The grounds are serene and beautifully put together. There are friendly cats around, plus koi fish you can feed with food available to buy. Our room was huge, split into three sections, with several AC units to keep it cool. Breakfast was a delicious home-cooked meal served at the time we chose at check-in. We also tried the well-priced Thai massage on the property, which was amazing. This has been the highlight of our trip so far. Grab is easy to use to get there and back, and I'd recommend the place to anyone.

Our family had a nice stay. We arrived early after the night train and really appreciated the welcome drink and chance to shower before heading out. The house is quiet and right by the river, though a bit out of the way. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, but we would have liked the host to ask whether we wanted the Western or Thai option. The host can also help arrange transfers, which is very useful. Check prices before booking, as we felt we'd paid too much.
