The staff were lovely and sorted out a white water rafting trip for the morning. We stayed in cabin #11, “Sleeping River,” on the way from Bangkok to Nan with my wife and her parents. It was a lovely cabin, with a high, angled ceiling and a full glass wall looking out at the pretty, rushing river, just a few steps away. There was a covered deck that was great for morning coffee, plus a gazebo, swing, picnic tables, and a community dog down by the water. Long curtains and the fish basket lampshades made the place feel a bit elegant and romantic, though less so when you're sharing it with your in-laws :). Both bathrooms had rock features, which you don't see every day.

We booked a bungalow overlooking the lake, and the rooms were new with a good breakfast. The staff were great and helpful. They arranged a lake tour to Cheow Lan for us, and they also offer an overnight trip. Booking through them in advance is worth it. You may even get a visit from some "monkey neighbors." Highly recommended.

There’s loads of greenery around, and it’s a nice place to spend the night, though it isn’t near a town. The restaurant has a big menu and the meals were delicious. My only complaint is that the bathrooms could use some care. Would I stay again? Definitely.

The staff are very polite and welcoming, and my room was nice, clean, and quiet. The resort sits beside Route 12, with parking out front. The terrace at the back by the river is a great spot for lunch. Ask the staff about any extra charges. Bring mosquito repellent, since the many trees mean lots of mosquitoes in the evening. I didn't have any trouble with them in my room, which was properly sealed.

It's a rustic resort beside a river, with a good breakfast and plenty of spots to sit and relax. There are stairs between the rooms and the river. My 70-year-old mother managed them, though she took her time.
