Thanburi Resort

The generous breakfast included fruit, rice soup, and a so-called Western option. I'd skip that Western plate: the processed meats were very low quality, like what you'd see in 7/11, and the scrambled eggs were poorly cooked and seasoned. The room itself had a gorgeous view, a balcony, and plenty of space, but it wasn't cleaned properly. There were blood drops on the bathroom bin, suspicious brown marks on the floor towel, and cigarette butts on the balcony. Pretty disgusting, honestly. Others seem to have raised cleanliness complaints too. If the approach to cleaning is mai bpen rai, they shouldn't charge 1800 baht. The water also got shut off without warning while I was using the bathroom. Guests should be told beforehand. There's a lot of potential here, and I might try it again if these things improve.

The view was amazing, but that's about the only good thing I can say. There were bugs and spiderwebs in my room, and what looked like boogers stuck to the walls. I might have put up with that, but I became seriously ill right after leaving my two-night stay. It almost certainly came from a filthy room that hadn't been cleaned in months. Also, if you miss breakfast at 7:30, the nearest food is an hour's hike away. I'd stay somewhere else.

The room had a lovely mountain view, a hot shower, a comfortable bed, and plenty of space. The staff felt a bit cold, and the shared areas could be better maintained. The reception and restaurant weren't very clean, with lots of big flies inside. We also found two ants in our drink cups. Breakfast choices were quite limited, and most of the food was cold.

Tucked among the mountains near Chiang Mai, this resort sits in a beautiful garden full of plants and flowers. The rooms are spacious and look out over the mountains. The employees were super friendly and courteous, and the whole place made it easy to relax and feel in harmony with the surroundings.
