The Living Samut Prakan

I spent a couple of months here and have no complaints. The river is a short walk away, with a nice view, and the place was quiet. The beds were so good, better than at places I've paid a lot more for before. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were perfect. Highly rated.

I stayed here twice, and there are plenty of good reasons to recommend it, but the noise is hard to get around, so I’d avoid staying here. There’s a small factory beside the hotel that gets loud every morning, and you can hear the staff chatting on your floor through the thin walls and doors. Cleaning staff woke us at 9 am trying to come into the room. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and good, but small. I can't see where a couple would open and store two suitcases. There’s nothing within walking distance, so it’s really for people with a car or bike. The reception is empty most of the time, which makes it seem like there aren’t enough staff.

The price is really reasonable. In the shower room, the ventilation fan is noisy and the water doesn't drain well.

The staff were really lazy and not customer focused. I could boil the jug in my room and make noodles, but wasn't allowed to make or drink coffee there. Seriously? I checked out straight away. I can get more for my money elsewhere.
