Sabaidee Residence

The owner was friendly and gave us all the information we needed, and the caretaker was good. Parking was limited. The hotel sits in a quiet alley, though the road leading there is somewhat damaged. The room was generally okay, with a flat-screen TV, cold air conditioning, a large refrigerator, a wardrobe, and bottles of shower gel, liquid soap, conditioner, and shampoo. One drawback at checkout: if you need a receipt in the morning, you have to wait until staff arrive at 8 am.

The room was filthy and full of cobwebs. The toilet and sink leaked, the air conditioner didn't cool, the refrigerator didn't work, and the water heater was broken.

For 800, the double room was a bad deal. There was just one key card for two people, so one of us couldn't get out without using the key while the other was sleeping upstairs. Noise came straight into the room, which wasn't soundproofed, from a transport truck that I think was rented by the month and played loud music. The old air conditioner hummed all night, though at least it was cool, and there were lots of mosquitoes. There wasn't a single bottle of water in the refrigerator. The water heater didn't work, so there was no hot water, and the flow was slow. Even 400 would be too expensive in this condition. The location works for long-distance drivers, but the access road is terrible, and there's already a service center.

The food is delicious and the rooms are good. There’s also a mini-mart and coin-operated laundry.
