They charge 350b for a Pina Colada when other places charge around 150-180b, and restaurant sodas are 70b even though the store 50 yards away sells them for 25b. The food was average and not worth the prices. I tried to get a smoothie, but they said they were closing 30 minutes early and couldn't make one. They also rarely check their Booking.com messages. I asked about a shuttle from BKK and got no reply. My room was 31c when I arrived. Since I'd had a reservation for three weeks, I thought they might have cooled it to 23-25c in advance. It was cooler outside, so I turned on the AC and went to explore the resort and get food. When I came back, pulling my key card had cut all the power, including the AC, and the room was back at 31c. Nobody mentioned this at check-in. They should provide two keys as standard, or cool the room before a guest arrives. I was on the fifth floor, where heat rises and rooms are harder to cool. The front desk leader gave me a hard time for asking for a second card so I could leave the AC on, asking if I knew I had to return both keys. The room entrances are outside, so you have to walk through heat and rain. These motel-style rooms need TLC and a deep clean: there was hair on the walls, the walls need plaster and paint, and the shower wouldn't drain, turning it into a bathtub. Even on the fifth floor, the drain shouldn't have that problem. The towels were thin and fraying around the edges. I requested one large bed but got two full beds. The facility also needs better signs, including for the elevators. This wasn't a five-star hotel or experience, more like two stars at best. The rooms need work, and the prices feel like a rip-off.

Late checkout was a nice surprise. I asked to stay until 2 PM, and the hotel agreed without charging extra. I'd make this my first choice again if I have a flight or transit in the future. It was my first stay here, and I checked in around 9 PM. Khun Seen at reception gave exceptional service. I don't often see Thai guests here, but once she realized I was Thai, she and Khun Night were especially warm and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable. I'd booked a package with breakfast and planned to use the spa, but I woke at noon and missed both.

The pool was warm and clean, with a kids' shallow section, a small slide, plenty of chairs, and clean towels. The breakfast buffet was great and well worth it. It's not true that there's nothing nearby: small food spots and a convenience store are within a 10-minute walk. Still, I wouldn't stay here again. There were too many little problems that added up. For a quick airport stop if you have no other choice, it's manageable, just keep expectations to the basics. My stay was meant to be a quick overnight near the airport. I took a taxi because the shuttle wait was over an hour. At around 11:50 PM, a large group was ahead of me and check-in took about 15 minutes. The front desk woman was kind and welcoming, but forgot to give me room key cards, and I forgot to ask. The room was huge, smelled nice, and had a very soft, comfortable bed and pillows. The towels and bedding were clean. WiFi was okay, neither fast nor terrible. But the patio doors had no bug screens, the seating fabric by the window was visibly dirty, the rug was stained, and the outside of the toilet had stains that made it seem not properly cleaned. The sink drained poorly, and there were hot water stains and mold in the shower. Noise made it hard to relax. The guest next door played his TV extremely loud, and a very loud bird, I think, kept making noise for hours. Room service was honestly terrible and disappointing. I waited about 15 minutes for a smoothie at the front cafe, even though barely anyone else was there. Some pool tiles were broken. Something in the cabana seating area bit both me and my child several times on the legs, so use towels before sitting. There was also nearby construction that hadn't been mentioned when booking. The little playground seemed like a good idea, but it was dirty with bird droppings and leaves and didn't feel safe or looked after, especially with construction nearby. It should have been blocked off. Checkout was frustrating. I called for luggage pickup around 11:20 and got no answer, then had to find a cart myself. My key card stopped working at 11:45 AM, before checkout time, so I had to track someone down to let me back in. Sorting it all out took until after noon, and staff tried to say I'd checked out late. LAURA at the front desk wasn't friendly and seemed annoyed when I asked for help arranging a taxi into the city. The taxi she called cost 800 baht and didn't feel worth that price.

The complimentary breakfast starts at 6 AM, with local birds singing a delightful chorus. There's also a restaurant open 24 hours. The menu isn't large, but it was enough when I woke up hungry at 1 AM. The pool seems to stay open around the clock too, if you fancy a midnight swim. It's only 1.5 meters deep and stayed a comfortable temperature even in mid-January. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport, and the shuttle ride was comfortable and free. After 30 hours in transit, the friendly, eager-to-help staff at check-in were especially welcome. For a longer stay in Thailand, I'd absolutely recommend Divalux as a first stop to ease the stress and adjust to the time zone.

Guitar looked after all our needs for meetings, and the service was top of the line. We always had fresh hot drinks, water, and snacks. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was wonderful, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Divalux.
