Bang Saphan Resort

I won't come back. The price and location were okay, though it isn't beachfront, but the service ruined the stay. I asked for an extra pillow because of a medical condition and staff laughed at me. I had to ask three times over four hours, and nobody apologized or showed concern.

The pool was excellent, especially for little kids, while the sea wasn't good for swimming. We liked the area enough to stay in two rooms. The first worked well for our small family, with our own floor mattress for the children, and it had almost everything we needed plus free breakfast. Our second room was called deluxe and looked over the sea and pool. It was good, but not really deluxe. Insects and jing jok, those small noisy lizards, got in through gaps in the doors. The jacuzzi tap didn't work, so they added a shower to fill it, leaving two showers in the bathroom. A run-down building blocked much of the sea view for now, though it's meant to be replaced by a sea wall. Service was below par. As a foreigner in Thailand, I'm used to not being acknowledged until I say hello first. The cleaning staff were great, though, and helped with extra things after the children made a mess. I'd recommend the place for a stay in this area.

For the price, it was a reasonable stay. The pool was nice, breakfast was included and decent, and service was good. I chose a cheap room on the second floor, far from the stairs, so getting to it took a bit of walking. The mattress was very hard, and a parking lot light shone into the room. The hotel is across the street from the beach, and a walkway was being built during my visit. It should be nice when finished.

The hotel is in a quiet spot right beside the beach, with a pool out front and a small cafe decorated nicely. Our deluxe room matched the online photos, had been recently renovated, and was quite clean.
