41 Suite Bangkok

Finding somewhere affordable, well located and comfortable is what I look for, and 41 Suite Bangkok met those needs and exceeded what I expected. The room stayed clean and neat each day. My superior size bed was roomy for one person and should fit a couple. There isn't breakfast listed, but they do put out bread with different jams and a toaster, plus coffee and tea. Getting around and finding food was easy. The BTS station is about a 5-minute walk away, and Tops and 7-11, both open 24 hours, are just a few minutes on foot. Along Sukhumvit there are Japanese restaurants, plus Rung Rueang Pork Noodle, which I love and which has received a couple of Michelin awards over some years. Next to it I found a tasty, affordable Chinese restaurant. The hotel is down an alley, though, so cars can hardly get in. With Grab, you'll need to get dropped off on Sukhumvit road and walk a few minutes. The room had the basics I needed: reliable Wi-Fi, microwave, small fridge, hair dryer, safe box, kettle, and complimentary coffee and tea. The AC kept the room cool. Laundry service is available for 180 baht per kilogram, which was convenient. A few things to bear in mind: the hotel is compact and has just one elevator, so it may not suit large groups or people with bulky bags. You can take the stairs to your room. I also wish the sound insulation were better. There are clubs and bars out front, and it gets noisy around 1-2 am. Some nights I barely slept and had to find ear plugs. When I arrived, heavy rain had caused flooding. I walked to my room with wet shoes and pants while lifting my luggage, then spent hours drying my shoes with the provided hair dryer. That was down to the weather, but it wasn't a good start. Even so, I had a great stay.

My first three nights in Thailand were here, and the room really impressed me. The price is affordable and the beds are super comfortable. It's close to everything on the main metro strip, with two shopping malls nearby and the amenities you need. There's a 7/11 down the alley, a few bars and a top tier massage shop. Just remember to hang the "make room" tag on your door if you want room service. I had a very good experience and would recommend staying here.

A 7-Eleven is just around the corner, and it's only a short walk to the BTS, so the location is convenient. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel staff were amazing. The neighborhood is mostly quiet. In the evenings there are bar girls outside the nearby bars, and because the smoking area is right in front, you may come face to face with them. Some guests could find that uncomfortable.

For 40$ a night, this place has what I need: a VERY comfortable bed, a spotless, well-kept room, good showers, AC, friendly professional staff and a great spot near the BTS. If you're reasonable about what that price gets you, I think you'll love it. I've seen complaints about the bars and girls nearby, and one person saying the friendly staff were nothing special. To everyone reading those reviews, 40$ doesn't buy a 4000$ experience. If you expect a luxury villa, you'll be disappointed. And if you feel entitled, maybe spend your free time earning more instead of posting nasty reviews about decent places.
