5 Chang Palace Hotel

For 390฿, I expected very little, and the room was moldy and low quality, but it wasn't THAT BAD. It had the things a hotel should have, just at a lower standard. I think much of the hate comes from the receptionist's bad service, lol. The front desk and hotel room are in separate buildings, and you have to walk along the road to get to the room, though it's not far. The location is really deep in, but it's near the airport and well-known markets like Chatuchak or Save One Go. If you only need somewhere for one night and hate the hotel, you could spend time at one of those markets. Save One Go is soo good, everything is delicious. There's a 7-11 nearby, walkable but not that close. There's parking for about five cars, and if it's full you can park on the street. The room comes with a bed and bedding, soap and shampoo, two body towels, two water bottles, 3in1 coffee, two spoons and cups, plus a desk and chair. No toothpaste, toothbrush, or shower cap. If you need anything else, get it from 7-11 and help yourself. My takeaway is that I wasn't disappointed, but definitely not impressed either.
