The hotel has a lovely Japanese style, with wood and a little garden outside. The receptionist was so kind and caring, and the whole stay felt peaceful and pleasant. We missed our flight and had to stay another night, which felt like a blessing. We got to visit the Japanese cafes and matcha places nearby. This hotel made our time in the big city feel calm and enjoyable. Big thanks to the team and receptionist for treating us so nicely! Alina and Sofia 🤍🙏🏽

I loved the tatami beds. I'm used to sleeping this way at Ryokans in Japan, and it feels great on my back. I slept better than usual. The Japanese breakfast is authentic and filling, and you won't need another meal for a few hours. I stayed in the King Suite with Balcony / Terrace access, and the staff were wonderful, helpful, and accommodating. The room was perfect, with a private onsen that uses powder/minerals for a fresh aroma and a nice feeling on your skin. You can adjust the temperature to whatever suits you. There's also a Spa/Onsen attached to MAYU (Kashikiri), with excellent treatments and onsen options. I had an excellent in-room massage too. I wholeheartedly recommend the stay, and would definitely return on my next trip to Bangkok/Tonglo.

We heard none of the neighbor noise some reviewers mentioned. It was quiet and zen the whole time. They also brought welcome tea, complimentary drinks and snacks, plus soy milk to help us sleep. Even at 1 meter 85 centimeters, the beds were comfortable. The comforter could have been a few centimeters longer, but I slept like a baby every night. The Japanese breakfast was a visual feast and a great experience, though Westerners used to eggs, toast, and cereal may be puzzled by the fish, soups, and pickles. From the decorations to the tatami mats, the mos gardens, onsens, small tables, futons, and yakayas on the beds, they really nailed the Japanese Ryokan atmosphere. Our room had an Onsen too, and the service was fantastic. We loved our stay. As Japan-lovers, it exceeded our expectations. Amazing Japanese hospitality from the moment we walked in ❤️🇯🇵

I stayed in the Villa with Garden View/ personal onsen, so this may not match other rooms. It was in a separate annex, and I had no noise or soundproofing problems. The room felt cosy, and the futon bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. It had the standard amenities and a mini fridge, though no safe. The Japanese breakfast was a highlight. Service was excellent, with warm, welcoming staff and thoughtful touches like welcome snacks and warm soya milk at night. They even left an umbrella outside my room for me to use throughout the stay. There are many nice places to eat nearby and a well-stocked UFM Fuji supermarket. The neighborhood is mostly residential with some commercial buildings, and felt quiet and safe even at night. It's about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Phrom Phong or Thong Lor BTS, so be prepared if it's hot or rainy. I had no trouble getting taxis to or from the hotel using ride-hailing.

The service was great, the food tasty, and I loved the private wooden onsen tub. Our stay was pleasant until the neighbors arrived. The rooms are extremely noisy, and they kept us awake in the evening and at night, so be aware of that. I also found the price a bit over the top. Even so, I can't say anything else negative.
