I booked what I thought was this hotel, but without warning I was sent to another building on the same street, not far away, called Bankok loft. The booking photos were all from the hotel I thought I was reserving, and the other place was a much lower standard. The room itself might have been fine, but the water heater didn’t work, and there was vomit on the sheets, which I only saw after getting in. That’s pretty much unforgivable, even though the staff moved me to another room and resolved the issue. My keycard also failed every night, so I had to come down from the 7th floor to reception to get it working. Take care.
The location is calm despite being so close to Nana, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from Nana station. The room was reasonably comfortable and not expensive for the area. There’s also a free shuttle tuk tuk that takes you to the entrance of the street, by Nana station. My room had a small balcony, but it wasn’t private since anyone from the shared corridor could access it. There was no other window. The shower head was fixed to the bathroom wall with no flexible tube, and the bedroom’s only lamp for softer lighting had no bulb. Those drawbacks were minor for the price and location, so I’m still giving it five stars and would recommend it.
The room was okay, and the staff were fine, though the bathroom had some rust. The area’s clientele and general atmosphere were dreadful, especially compared with other parts of Bangkok where I’d had good experiences. I couldn’t wait to leave. If being woken at 2 a.m. by someone shouting and banging on your door sounds appealing, this is the place.
The rooms are really spacious, and the staff were helpful. There’s a golf cart that can take you to nearby restaurants or to the end of the street, where you’ll find more places to eat. The bathroom, though, looks unfinished.
We’ve come back to this hotel for a third visit, and the staff are still so kind. The gentleman driving the golf cart is especially sweet, and the cleaning ladies are quick to help if you need anything. Thanks for being so kind to Troy and me. See you next year. The building’s a bit older, but the rooms are more spacious, which I like. It’s about a 7-10 minute walk to the BTS, and Terminal 21 is close for shopping, food, the gym, and movies. Times Square is nearby too, with aesthetic clinics, a barber, dental services, and an acupuncture clinic on the second floor. Food and massage places are easy to find around here.
