Solo Express Bangkok Soi 81

For the price, this hotel was excellent. The double room was spacious, very clean, and had a nice bathroom. Towels and bedding were changed every night through room service. Reception stays open 24 hours, which was helpful since I had a 4am flight to catch. Breakfast is offered for around 160baht, and the staff were really friendly.

The toilet was dirty when I checked in, with dried stool on it, and I was shocked when I went to use it. I cleaned it myself. The room was still dirty, and the floor wasn't clean either. They cleaned the mattress, but didn't properly clean the room. Towels weren't changed, and I didn't get tissues or water unless I asked. A hotel would normally provide two bottles of water and tissues each day. My boyfriend and I had checked in only about 10 minutes earlier. This was the worst hotel experience I've had, with no good impression at all. I think the manager should randomly inspect rooms for cleanliness before guests arrive. I don't think this place deserves a 3 star rating. If you're looking for a hotel, I'd say don't stay here. Paying a little more might feel better.

The room was large, but looked nothing like the pictures. It had two tiny windows facing an indoor hallway instead of outside, and the bed sheets were stained. Bags of trash and a pile of dirty sheets were left in the hallway when we got off the elevator and were still there the next morning. The front desk woman was very rude. She bluntly asked my boyfriend if he smoked, even though the room was in my name, and wouldn't hand over the keys until he answered. She never asked me whether I smoked. She was unfriendly when explaining where to park too. This hotel could be nice, but I'd spend my money elsewhere.

The room was old and nothing like the photo. Water dripped from the air conditioning all night and left the floor wet. The staff weren't nice either. They said parking wasn't allowed, then made an exception for the small space in front of the hotel, where another car might crash into yours. I left my luggage and went to find another parking spot about 5 minutes away. After I'd been gone only 5 minutes, they called me in a bad mood and told me to move the car. It wasn't okay with me. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
