Aiims Tales Canal Boutique House

It’s a lovely getaway in the city, largely thanks to the great staff. I really liked the Japanese-style hotel and the scenery, and had a good experience overall. It is far from the city center, though a one-way trip there or back should cost no more than 200bht.

Getting there takes a little coordination: have your taxi or Grab driver call the desk on arrival, so staff can guide you along the cobblestone paths and across the canal bridge. They’re happy to help. Once there, you get a quiet, well-equipped room and a tucked-away feel. The new treetop cabins are clean, fresh, artsy, and surrounded by nature. The whole place feels professionally feng shui'd and very Japanese, a calm little oasis.

The staff are friendly, and it feels like there’s hardly anyone around. The Japanese-style decor makes for a peaceful atmosphere. Baan Silapin (The Artist house) is only a two-minute walk away. Drinks are inexpensive for the setting, a tea pot is 40 baht and cold Cocoa drinks are 45 baht. Getting here by taxi is easiest: tell the driver to continue straight at Soi Charan sanitwong 3 Alley, get out, cross the bridge, go straight, then turn left. It’s about 50 m ahead on the right. Open and close the gate, and enjoy. Worth the trip if you like a quiet place with Japanese style.

For a romantic, authentic-feeling stay near Bangkok's temples, this is a nice spot to see how local life goes. The klongs are called the Venice of Thailand :)
