Analog Hostel

We stayed in a four-bed dorm with its own bathroom, and it was comfortable for me, my wife, and another couple. The place was beautifully decorated and very well kept, with everything organized. All the hosts were kind and checked in to see if we needed anything. This is a late review of our April stay at Analog Hostel, but we'd definitely come back if my wife and I return to Bangkok.

It's cash only, so keep that in mind. I found the hostel great value for the price and would recommend it for an overnight stay in Bangkok. The location is just off the main road, with a train station an easy walk in either direction and shops and restaurants nearby. Staff are helpful and friendly, and travelers are welcome whether or not they speak Thai. The comfortable shared areas have nice decor, a fridge, sink, and utensils. There are lockers for smaller bags and personal items, plus storage for larger luggage. The building is clean, the dorms are comfortable, and the rooms have air conditioning. Bathrooms have both toilets and showers, and room access is by key card.

The price is quite affordable, so I'd recommend it for a budget trip. It's near a market with local and commercial food, shopping, and the metro. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi was fast and worked throughout the rooms. Rooms are lovely and the bathrooms are very clean. As a backpackers hostel, you may share with other travelers, but it felt very safe, with lockers for valuables. There's also a room and bathroom specifically for women who aren't comfortable sharing with men. The common area is a place to relax and have a drink. Bathrooms have basic toiletries and a hair dryer. Regular shoes aren't allowed inside, so you can wear bathroom slippers or buy a pair at the hostel.

The owners made a strong impression on me. They're a husband and wife who run the place, and they welcomed me warmly, were helpful, and treated me like a friend. I'm based in Koh Samui and sometimes come to Bangkok for business, so I wanted good value, a convenient location, and easy transport. Analog Hostel had an incredible price and I got the best sleep. It's new and very clean, with good-quality towels, pillowcases and sheets, plus a big locker. I liked the pantry, the huge common area for hanging out and meeting other guests, and the interior design, which felt like a chic hotel. The front and interior doors both have good security systems. I'll definitely stay here again.
