The only thing that bothered me was the bathroom door, which wouldn’t close all the way. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, the staff were polite, and the cleaning team was fantastic.

Miss Nicha, the hotel manager, was especially attentive and quick to help. She was understanding, cheerful, and friendly, and made us feel at ease. My husband and I have been staying long term at Aspira Dandora Hotel, and its central spot on Soi16 in Bangkok Sukhumvit is convenient. The hotel is impeccably clean and peaceful, and it gives us that enjoyable home-away-from-home feeling. Kudos to Miss Nicha.

The hotel looked quite different in person from its photos, and I found the people there unwelcoming. I had booked the wrong dates by mistake and asked to cancel more than 24 hours in advance, but they refused. I’ve stayed at other Aspira hotels before, but after this experience I won’t use them again. When visiting Bangkok, you’d be better off staying somewhere with nicer people.

The staff were great and the shower was nice, but I wouldn’t stay here again. I ended up with around 20 bites on my arms and legs, large welts rather than mosquito-like bites. With an open fan window in the bathroom, I couldn’t tell whether they were mosquitoes or bed bugs, and the experience was horrible. The bed was worn and needs its mattress turned, and the pillows were lousy. Other guests kept banging doors, waking me at 1 or 2 a.m. for three nights in a row. It wasn’t awful in every way, but it wasn’t good either. I’d pass on this place. The JONO Hotel down the street was better for a similar price.
