Baan Pra Nond B&B

The pool was a little godsend after long days out. We’d come back hot and sweaty, pour a drink, and take a dip. Somehow we had it to ourselves, so it felt even more private. Even with two main roads nearby, the place felt quiet and peaceful. It’s a beautiful restored colonial property behind a gate, with a gorgeous garden at the entrance. There’s also a resident beagle, Logan, who’s so cute and was an added pleasure, especially since I was missing my own dogs. We spent four nights here and loved it. The location is really convenient, though getting a taxi or tuk tuk right out front can be tricky. Walk 20m up the road and it’s easy to catch one. The skytrain station is across the road, and most of the business district is an easy 10-15 minute walk away. Our room was basic but a good size with everything we needed, and the ensuite was lovely and quite large. The bed was huge and still comfortable, but a bit firmer than I like. Breakfast changed every morning, with things like eggs cooked how you wanted, waffles, or bacon and egg rolls. It was all yummy and freshly made to your liking, with tea or coffee, extra toast, and jam. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Fook gave us great tips on where to go and how to get there, and the owner suggested things to do and places for dinner. We’ll stay again next time we’re in Bangkok.

The place felt like home for both me and my husband. We were there for three nights and would happily return on our next Bangkok trip. It’s about a five-minute walk from the BTS and close to the main road, though earplugs were provided in the room. The interior is lovely, with beautiful plants, and the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was simple, just bread, scrambled eggs, juice, and coffee or tea, but it tasted good.

We arrived feeling sick, and the staff helped us get to a local hospital. They also kindly arranged a taxi to the airport. The decor is lovely, and the staff were very attentive. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast too, and appreciated the amenities.

We didn’t get a chance to try the cute little pool, which was a shame. The building feels old, though it’s in good shape, and the staff were helpful with our circumstances. It was also convenient to get a taxi to Yaowarat from here. A great little place.
